We are closely monitoring the guidelines put forth by the Federal and Provincial Governments and local health officials, and are taking appropriate measures to keep our guests and staff safe. At this time, The Trace intends to be open for a safe and enjoyable Summer 2022 season.

Our Cancellation Policy:

We require a 30% deposit that will be charged to your credit card upon booking. You may cancel, worry and penalty free, 30 days prior to your arrival.

The initial 30% deposit becomes non-refundable once we are within 30 days of your arrival. Full payment of your stay will be charged to the credit card on file 72 hours prior to your arrival and is non-refundable at that time.

Commitment to Cleanliness:

We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking additional steps to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.

Our Health, Safety and Knowledge: Our own health, safety and knowledge are essential to an effective cleaning program. Here are some steps we are taking:

  • Hand Hygiene: Proper and frequent handwashing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses and that cleanliness starts with this simple act. It's important for our health and that of our guests.
  • Cleaning Products and Protocols: The Trace uses cleaning products and protocols which areeffective against viruses

  • Guest Cabins & Chalets: We use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with particular attention paid to high-touch items. Linens are sent to a commercial laundromat for professional cleaning and sanitization.
  • Public spaces: Hand sanitization stations are set up at our office entrance and are required to be used prior to entering. A second station setup is located at our boat launch and must be used before and after using any of our boats.

An important note to Guests who wish to Check-In early:

It's a beautiful day in the Summer, and all you want to do is get to the lake! Hey, we get it! We encourage guests to get the maximum out of their time with us, and welcome you to arrive early on your arrival date.

However, for your safety and the safety of our cleaning staff please observe the following very important instructions.

Barring rare and unforeseen circumstances, your room will most certainly be ready by our standard check-in time of 3pm. Guests arriving prior to 3pm must notify our staff of their arrival, and allow our staff to inform them when their room is ready. For the safety of the guests, and our cleaning staff, it is very important to us that guests do not enter their rented cabins prior to 3pm (even to drop your bags, etc) unless they have been advised the room has been cleaned, sanitized, and it is safe to do so.

When arriving early, make sure your food is stored safely in a cooler in your car, and your swim trunks at somewhere easy to reach. We have a large bathroom which guests can use to change at our Office cabin, we'll toss you a towel, and voilĂ , you're lounging on the dock while we finish prepping your cabin!

We thank you very much for understanding.
